1st Day of School!!

It is that time of the year. We've taken the first day of school pictures and would like to share them. (Especially Gma's and Gpa's)
Madyson was quite tired. She was VERY nervous to have to ride the bus this year. She ended up having nightmares throughout the night. She had kind of a rough time waking up. Oh yes! She can tie her shoes by herself, but she wanted them tied like Aunt Seece does it. (By the way Aunt Seece I checked with some people at work that are from Mexico and they don't know how to tie your "Mexican Knot." We can still call it that though.)
Not the Peace Sign, Two fingers for Second Grade. DUH! Maria had to explain it to me...
Here is our greatest concern for the year, thus far. With Maria being pregnant with baby(...Morgan...at least for now) we decided to bus the girls. It would be a little much to have to get all the kids together three times a day to go to the school and back. As you can see from the picture above Madyson is a little small. All of those kids go to the middle school 5th - 8th grades. There are other elementary school kids also, but the big kids kind of take over. Madyson is scared to death, mom and dad may be even more scared to death.

Maycee is picked up by a bus with all kindergartners because she goes in the afternoon. When she comes home, she comes home on the same bus as Madyson and all the older kids. It probably wouldn't be to bad if they picked the elementary school kids up first, but they don't they pick up the middle school kids. Our concern is having our little precious girls stuck in the middle of a group of older kids. Today was Maycee's first day and Madyson's second. We already had some issues. We'll give it a couple of days to see how everything works out, they are suppose to assign seats which would be very helpful.
There she goes!
Whew! She made it! One day down...
Next up! Our little ANGEL. Yes she is posing. "Mom how about this with me looking over my backpack?" Of Course!!!
Waiting for the bus...Kindergarten!!!
There she goes...please keep her safe.
Maycee took this picture of Mom and Buster Brown.
Dad's gotta go to work. Peace out.

What in the world?

Today when I came home from work the first thing Madyson did was take me to the fridge. She opened it up and showed me this dish that looked like some leftovers. There was a hole poked through the middle of the foil. She was all excited and told me to stick my finger in the "stuff" and tell her what it felt like.

(Ya know when you have those halloween games and you stick your hand in a bag and at the bottom of it is spaghetti, pudding, or something gross, and you think it is real disgusting, that is what she was doing.)

She says with a huge freckled smile, "Dad is that gross!?!?!?" What was I suppose to say, "no?" Of course it was gross, it was DISGUSTING!, anything to put a smile on her face. :)

Later that night Maria pulled it out of the fridge and told me what it was. It is a mixture of instant rice, cinnamon, glue, water, and halloween cake sprinkles. I looked at Maria a little dumbfounded, (yes, a little more then I usually do) and I said, "how in the world did you not know what they were doing?" These items are spread all over the kitchen. A second after I asked the question, I had my answer. DUH Ryan, this isn't Maria's fault this is Stephanie Meyer's fault!

I'm sure many of you will understand this. Mrs (Sister) Meyer comes out with a new book, the Beasley family loses our mother until she's done with the thing. 754 pages and 3 days later we finally have our mother back tonight.

So there you have it Mrs Meyer, a Madyson Paige Beasley goolash special suprise.

*Disclaimer* So I don't get in trouble, I did check with Maria throughout the day to make sure the kids were okay. They were of course dressed, cleaned, fed and alive. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, half the time fighting, half the time playing nicely. Maria deserve some serious ME TIME, so as long as the kids are alive when I get home, I'm good. :)
