Omaha Part 1

Here is the Beasley family on the first day of their trip to Omaha. We are getting ready to hit the farmers market is down town.
We're waiting in line for the guy making ballon animals for the kids. Who would have thought ballon swords could be so fun and so contentious?

A sucker is a cure all. That and a band-aid.

After the farmer's market we hit the Children Muesum. Morgan is very focused on her shopping.

Maycee and her germ infested costume. Gag. Who knows how many kids have tried that gross thing on. I've gotten soft after the many winters of sick kids, guess I'm a little sensitive to these things. "Cute Maycee, now please take it off and don't try anything else on."

Fun little contraption.

There were all kinds of fun little things for the kids to do. You know Carter was just trying to get Maycee up as high as he could and then let go? Why? Because he's a brother. :)

Omaha Part 2

The main reason we went up to Omaha was to visit the Winter Quarters Temple. Maria and I had to take turns so for about two hours I had to figure out what to do with our 5 kids. Below the temple is a dirty park that we played on for about 15 - 20 minutes. We left when I could no longer keep Morgan from getting mowed down by the merry go round thingy.
Here is the biggest trooper of the trip. Claire is a good little girl, we were thankful for her patience and good sleeping ability, on top of being super cute!

Speaking of super cute. Luckily I got a picture of this moment.

Picture of the back of the temple. We made it!

Omaha Part 3

Here's a fun little walking bridge that goes over the Missouri River and yes we're going on it. How can you not see something like that and not want to go on it.
On our way to the bridge we came across one of those little fountains that kids can run in. Good times, kids had fun, but quickly realized after leaving the fountain that they were cold and wet and we were just starting our little walking adventure. "I'm cold....Dad!...I'm cold...my feet hurt...I'm cold." If you're wondering if those are Madyson and Carter's new school shoes, yes they are.

Couldn't be more happy at this point! "Dad I'm cold....and my feet hurt..." 5 Minutes after this was taken. Cute kid though.

Morgan quickly found out she didn't really care for the water shooting her in the face.

Maycee's teacher talked to her about this bridge that you can walk across and you can stand in two states at the same time!!! Well Maycee found it and was so excited to get a picture to take to her teacher.

Posers! Carter is still soaking wet, what a trooper. HA!

Omaha is a great little city.

Omaha Part 4

Here we are getting ready to hit the Omaha Zoo, which is a great zoo by the way. Maria is putting Claire back in the stroller and Morgan is crying to get out of the stroller.
Carter and Maycee on the train. Quick and easy way to see the whole zoo and not have to walk all over. "Look guys the elephants, oh you didn't see them, guess you'll have to see them next time we go to the zoo because they are a mile away from where this train is going to drop us off." :)
Just plain cuteness and she knows it. We say, "Who's cute?" She says, "Me!" Great Polar Bear! He's always been entertaining. He swam right up to the glass for us, didn't get a good picture to share though.

Big Gorilla! That is what I call Maycee. :) Not really
Family on the gorilla statutes and yes that is Carter sticking his lips on the dirty germ infested thing.
We saw the White Alligator, which they put in a swamp setting that was out of some horror film. Kids couldn't get out of there fast enough, it was a very entertaining part of the visit.
