The "B" one is Morgan's, it stands for Beasley. Hoping not to jinx ourselves :)
So it's that time of year, everybody's doing it...though we waited this year until the night before Halloween so that our pumpkins wouldn't be shriveled little old man faces :). It was a super warm evening...I like carving pumpkins outside, no mess in the kitchen.

Well Soccer is over...YES!!! We get our Saturday mornings back, along with our Monday and Tuesday evenings. We ended the season with a blistering cold Saturday morning.
Maycee after getting her medal.
Maycee the tall girl....story of her life.
Whoa! Hot Mama, actually she was quite cold.
Madyson, the only girl on her team. She held her own though. In basketball we would call her a cherry picker. She's not much for defense. :)
Seriously it was cold. We're going to skip indoor this season and take a break. Not sure how the schedule is going to be with a new baby around. See you in the spring!
We have lived in Kansas for 5 Halloweens and had yet gone to the infamous KC Pumpkin Patch that is literally less than 2 miles from our house. So.....it was a gorgeous day Saturday afternoon, so we ventured out and down the road. Fun times.... Ryan told Carter that if he could pick up this pumpkin that we could get it.....humm..... It isn't free to enter and it's extra for your pumpkins and any special activity you may want to do. Needless to say we didn't pan for gems at $4 a bag per kid. They lived. "For posterity" says Ryan.
We can't figure out who this guy is between Carter and Maycee, he just jumped in there! Carter rode around and around in the "train" while Madyson waited in line for the manual go-cart ride. And there she goes.....she had to peddle around the track. Maycee plopped down on these pumpkins and said, "Here Mom, take my picture here, it will be cute". Such a poser! She was right! The whole gang. I was the last one to join in because I was showing someone how to use the camera, notice which animal I got.......not funny, stop laughing!!! The kids loved this little slide. Carter wasn't about to go down it facing forward, boring. Just being cute!!!
Maycee tricycling around the track for kids her age.... Madyson and Maycee on the kiddo's climing wall I wish we had some pictures from the little Haunted House they had. Of course, we had to go through that a few times, it was their favorite!
Madyson givin' it a boot! Go Maycee! Yesterday morning was so foggy, it was even worse the hour before at 7 am when they had pictures. She did the sissor kick and some over the top opposite kick during the game, so she got a prize. This was the week Mom was in Utah, so no hair was done :) The boys watching the games!!!
Seriously, I watched some of the debate tonight and I just can't do it. I can't vote for either of them. I can stand listening to Obama and I like what he says, but can life really be peaches, flowers, fairies, with money growing on trees for everyone to have "their fair share."
Obama talked about abortion tonight and he said he is Pro-Choice and he believes when a woman wants an abortion they will counsel with their partner, parents, and religious leaders before they make a decision.
Why can't McCain respond with some reality like, "Come on Senator you really think the 17 year old couple that just found out their lives are going to flip upside down are going to do that? I doubt it, they're going to gather up $500 and go to the clinic."
Obama was asked a question about whether Sarah Palin was qualified. He blabbed and tried to be nice. I would have loved it if he would have said, "Are you kidding me? Senator McCain if die, you are 72 years old for crying out loud, do you really think Governor Palin is qualified to lead the United States of America? Really when you chose her did you think you'd live forever and she wouldn't ever be the President? No Mr. Moderator I don't think she is qualified."
Those are some of the thoughts that I have going through my head, I better leave the rest there. I probably said to much already, but venting a little may help me sleep tonight. Either way, Pres. Obama or Pres. McCain I don't see anything getting any better any time soon.
Here's my sweet little boy, Carter. I think he's up to no good..... Hummmm......some sisters went into the house and got him some water. Boys love mud! Mom's love washing machines! He only played for a few minutes before he had to stop.....something about throwing mud at his sisters.....little boys.....mud.......good times :o)
This location is north of Kansas City a little bit and just west of Liberty, I think. It'll be a little under an hour from our house to the temple. I tried to find a map that would copy and paste, but I'm having troubles. Ryan may have to figure it out when he gets home. We are so thrilled!!!
Maria and I missed the first session of conference this morning, we were watching Maycee's soccer game. Around 11:15 the text messages started rolling in. "Temple in KC!" "Temple in Greater Kansas City Area" "Temple!" Soon there was a stir in the Beasley section of the sideline. I got up and made a call, Maria called her mother and bawled, I was trying to keep my emotions in check. I didn't want someone to think someone died. :) We wanted to tell everyone, "WE'RE GETTING A TEMPLE!" but I don't think it would mean to much to them and we still had a game to watch.
So our emotions are in check for the moment. We're so excited for the future of the area and what a temple will do for the church here. We are very GRATEFUL (x's 100) for such a blessing. I can't imagine some members having to drive all day and spend so much money to go to the temple. Right now we only have to drive 4 hours anything closer is incredible. Who knows depending on where they build the temple maybe we'll see a lot of our fellow western Mormons real soon. ;) We have room in our backyard for about 20 tuff sheds. HAHA!
Here is a link to check out the area. We live in Gardner, under Olathe.
Tonight Maria had to go down to the church for Young Women's. So I was in charge of getting the kids ready for bed. Madyson said something funny that I had to share though.
I was blow drying her hair and she said, "Why do boys have hair in their arm pits?" I said, "Everyone has hair in their armpits, girls shave it off and boys don't." What else is there to say? She said, "Ya know you can cut it and give it to a place that makes wigs out of it." I said, "Really? Where would I take it?" She wasn't sure, but she saw it on TV. "They make wigs for little kids, like three year olds or something." she said.
I chuckled at the thought of a three year old wearing a wig made of armpit hair and kind of left it at that. To be in a 7 year olds head for 5 minutes would be priceless.
