Our new sister!!

So....this is our new sister, the most studious Miss Madyson! She was border line needing glasses to see the board, so we opted to get them for her. We were hesitant at first, not knowing if they were really neccessary, but once she put them on, it was obvious she did need them after all. She's so cute!

Morgan Maria Beasley Arrived

Well she is here! Maria had an appointment Friday morning at 8:15 am. She was having some good contractions throughout the night, but they were about 10 minutes apart. When she started to get up in the morning and get ready they went to about 5-6 minutes apart. We figured we'd go to the appointment and see what Dr. Snider said.
He said she was dilated to about a 4, we asked him if we should go to the hospital or not. He said it was really up to us, and that we'd probably be there soon either way. Shortly after that she had another contraction, so he said I'm calling the hospital to tell them you're coming over. We told him Maria usually has a fast labor, especially when her water breaks. He said good because he had an appointment at 11:00am that he had to be to, but he also wanted to do our delivery. He sent us on our way and said he would be over in a half hour to break her water.
We got all registered, checked in, and Maria was just sitting down on the bed after changing and in walked Dr. Snider to break her water. This was quite concerning to both us and we knew it as we looked at each others faces going white. With Maycee, Maria's water was broken and before she could get the epideral working Maycee was born. We did not want another one of those.
Luckily Morgan was patient and didn't come until we were all ready. The doctor came in to check Maria and said "Oh, you're ready when ever you want to push go ahead." One push later and out came little Morgan.
She was born at 12:32pm, weighing 8lbs 2ozs, 19 inches long. Our heaviest baby and also the shortest.
Nothing like a shot to welcome you into the world.
Gorgeous Girl. She is awesome. I'm so grateful for her. We are thinking about having 3 more! Okay I lied. We are probably topped off.

First ride in the car seat

Meet the "Wild Bunch." Do you think we could get our own reality TV show?

Morgan is home. Maria doesn't like to spend much time by herself in the hospital, so she is out as soon as she is able. Special thanks to the Taylors for allowing the "Wild Bunch" to invade their home last night. We're so grateful to have our children, we have quite the adventure ahead of us. Thank goodness!

Thoughts....

Alright, so Ryan wants me to post this, but I've been hesitant....I don't write, and honestly have no idea where this came from. Monday was in the mid 70's here and the kids were out of school (again), I was sitting in the living room reading the Readers Digest when this all just came out on one of the million notebooks we seem to have lying around the house because the girls like to do Journals.
I think that I am ready...
but really are you ever ready?
It's a lot to take in, a lot
for a body to go through,
a lot of emotions to wrap
my brain around.
Clothes are washed,
beds are made, blankets folded,
diapers bought, binkies boiled...
pump not done yet. Hoping to
not need the pump, as I've been
attached to it before...not my
favorite, not the preference of choice.
Kids are playing, laughing, screaming,
swinging, running, being kids.
Mostly laughing...that's a good thing.
Poor neighbors can't enjoy the
nice day as the kids do....
unless- they like the noise of kids.
Nope, I don't think I'm ready!
