Sunday afternoon nap?? Yeah right

Often times I come home from church tired and ready for a nap. Sometimes I can find a place on the floor and snooze for a little bit. Most of the time though I am discovered by my children who need some daddy time. This is what it turns into...

I'm sure we're not the only family where the kids like to pick on their poor dad, but this has become a "Traditional!" as Tevye would say it. This "Traditional!" started with my dad myself and my sisters.

When my dad couldn't wrestle anymore it was my sisters against me. I'll never forget Maria's face when my sisters and I started wrestling eachother one Sunday afternoon. She still thinks we're crazy.

Now I make my kids beat up on their aunts, they all need it and it is fun to watch.

The HALL ANNUAL LADIES LAKESIDE SIESTA!!! For those who know me well, I normally don't actually do the writing on our blog, Ryan does. I have not been blessed with the writing talent, and assure you it will take me a long time just to type a few things on here tonight.

Last weekend I flew to Utah for the 2nd Annual H.A.L.L.S. Retreat. Hall is my maiden name, so all the aunts and female cousins (marrieds in included) all get together in the fall for a no boys overnighter at my parents cabin at Bear Lake. I flew into SLC Thursday night (thanks again Brooke for driving my kids back home from the airport, you are brave!), and came home Sunday night. On Friday we all headed over the mountain to the beautiful Bear Lake valley. We ended up with 22 women and 3 babies, 5 of us cousins are pregnant. It was a full house, but there's always room for more, as we were minus 5 cousins who had just given birth or lived too far to come. There's a lot more I could say, so much fun was had!!!

I went to the Dr. today and he okay'd me to take Tylenol PM, and it's kicking in....ummmm....I keep phasing in and out. Besides, I'm not a writer and it doesn't help to have these fun meds kicking in my system. I'm going to bed now. Here's some pictures of my AWESOME family, honestly, how many of you can say you know and love all of your cousins, including married in ones, WELL? I feel like I do, and feel so blessed for it!!!! THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!!

Waiting for mom!

Here is what we do when we wait for Mom to get back from Utah. We're leaving in a few to go pick her up at the airport. Dad very much appreciates Mom and everything she does and can't wait to have her back. Couldn't make it through life without her!! Love you Maria. These are for you.

Sunflower Boy

Carter helped me do this little sunflower arrangement. Thanks to Mom for the idea of black beans, that was Carter's favorite part, he was a great pourer!
