We don't play in the rain in Kansas. You can die! For REAL, lightning will come down and fry you and your little popsicle stick racing friends.
I wanted to share some of our storms we've had of late. I've tried to capture some pictures and video of the thunderstorms we have around here. They are amazing and at times scary, but of course that makes it exciting. Here are some pictures and videos to check out, they don't do the storms justice though.

Here is what the radar has looked like so often this year.

And here is what the backyard looks like when we get a 4-5 of inches of rain in an afternoon.
Here is a short little video of the storm as it passes. Like I said it doesn't do any justice to the storm. It is like a strobe light most of the time with all the lightning strikes.
And for those nights when you're sitting in your house wondering what the Beasley's weather is like tonight, here is a good link for you to click on. We're about 35 miles South of Kansas City.

We keep seeing these storms go through out there and hoping you are all okay!
Also, speaking as one who grew up in Kansas, if you wait until just after the rain to race the popcicle sticks, it's just as good. The water rushes into the sewers for another hour or so.
And I am supost to be excited to come next week. I better not die... or Marshall will be very sad.
