Carter wants to be a farmer

I didn't have to stay after church today so I took Carter with me on the way home. I wanted to share our little discussion with you.

As we passed one of the little farms along the way he said,

Carter: "Dad I wanna be a FARMER!!"

Dad: "You'll make a good farmer, boy."

Carter: "I wanna be a farmer so I can touch the cow poop with my gloves."

Dad: "You wanna touch the cow poop with your gloves?"

Carter: "Yeah I take the poop and put it in the mud"

Dad: "Well why do you want to do that?"

Carter: "Because....because....because (his mind racing to try to figure out why)

Dad: "Because why though?"

Carter: (Said with frustration)..."BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT FARMERS DO DAD!!"

Dad: "Okay then, well I think you'll make a good farmer Carter."

Aaahhhhh to be 3 again.

That was awesome! :) The boy's got gumption as my dad would say. :) Love that boy!

That's so cute. It reminds me of the story about a boy who is put into a barn full of horse poop and starts digging through it. When asked why he says with all this poop there must be a pony in here somewhere! Oh, to have the positive outlook of a three year old would be great!
