Bloomington Lake, ID

While in Idaho, we hiked up to Bloomington Lake. If you haven't ever done it and are in the area, it's worth the afternoon to do the short hike over to the lake. It's beautiful!!!This is a little pond/lake off the hike up to Bloomington lake. We stopped on the way down and some got in to get their feet wet. Maycee, however just wanted to barely get in and once in, she wouldn't get out, meaning she wouldn't put her feet back in the water....OHHH she was a mess. Jessica was trying to hold her up so that she didn't just drop in and we were all laughing so hard that it was hard to move, or take a picture.
Needless to say, she became a bit of a mess on the way out of the water as she was drug through the water and mud to get out. She doesn't seem to care here though!
Ryan swinging into the lake off the rope swing. He didn't realize what he was going up there to do, but I think he loved it. He did it several times, see the video below....

We had to cross these logs on part of the hike to get up to the lake. Lucky they were pretty stable, though, in some areas not too wide. Do that with 2 infants, 2 preschoolers and 2 gradeschoolers and it's pretty nerve racking!!

A fun time was had by ALL, exept Morgan she pretty much fussed the entire time we were at the lake...ugh!

What a fun time. Thanks for letting us come along on your fun. I wish I lived closer to you so we could go and do more things together.

Bloomington was pretty much in my backyard growing up, although it is a much more intense hike from the Preston side. I can't believe the rope swing was there. The forest service cuts it down every time they go up there and someone always puts one back up. You were lucky. Sorry we missed seeing you, but thanks for sharing the pics!!
